Bryan Bentley is currently working as a creature technical director for the Industrial Light and Magic(ILM) division of Lucas Film Entertainment, in Singapore. Before moving to ILM Singapore he worked at ILM’s main branch in San Francisco on Rango, which went on to win the Oscar for Best Animated Film. Previouse to working at ILM he worked at Rhythm & Hues studios, in Los Angeles, on the Golden Compass, which won the academy award for best visual effects, Alvin and the Chipmunks which has the 5th highest Christmas opening in cinema history, and HULK a revision of one of marvel comics most popular franchises.
Bryan has a Bachelors in science from Purdue University and in Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design. At Purdue University he was awarded the black caucus and faculty award twice and made the deans list. Also while attending Purdue Bryan was granted to opportunity to tech at the collegiate level at the University of Technology in Rezerwowe Poland. He spent three months teaching Design Theory with 3d and 2d applications such as, 3D studio max, Alias Maya, and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. He later parlayed this experience in to numerous peer tutoring and lectures throughout his collegiate career. He is currentley also a Part-Time Professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapre, were he teches an introduction to character rigging course.
